Keep up the great and friendly service DXCANADA. Outstanding!! And its nice to see a little competition for the most unfriendly Ham store in Canada (RW). My review is more on DXCANADA and how quickly they processed my order and got it to me on the opposite side of Canada - and in 2 days. Not much too say about the battery other than it works fine after a full charge. Would have ordered couple more if cost to ship was less. Only concern is postal charge of $10 per battery. Shipment prompt, less than 5 working days. Good battery, last one lasted 2 years before shorter duration of activity occurred. Posted by Robert MacLachlan on 2020 Nov 13th WHAT A RIPOFF!!įast delivery and good service. Charged $10 for shipping yet it came in the same box as the radio. I ordered an extra battery when I ordered the radio. Very good service, fast shipping well packed. it will start to deform and sag long before it completely fails which was a good enough trade off in my opinion.Posted by Jacques Cadieux on 2022 Mar 29th the belt clip I have worked pretty hard and as this is printed in petg there is no worry of the belt clip snapping if it fails. but I know where you're coming from on those ideas because I have the exact same ideas! May revisit the project someday and at least add on board charging. my first couple models had that in there but holding the radio was like holding a brick. Order Code ME-ATD868UVBE Price 12.95 + 5. however with the belt clip in order to add an depth for screws, because of the depth of 18650 batteries Plus make the back thick enough to be rigid enough to take that hardware would increase the overall thickness of the radio by quite a bit. A handy liitle unit for the ANYTONE ATD868/878 UV that has an empty battery pack connected to via curly lead a 12v cigar plug. I can make it longer so that it would increase the overall length of the radio more like a traditional handheld radio to get the PCB in place and circuitry for charging the batteries that is on my list. as I got further into the project I realized both would add considerable size to the overall dimensions of the radio battery box. using the standard belt clip and adding a charge PCB with USB connection. Going into this project those two things were exactly on my list.
